Francois Xavier Josse
Born in Nantes, France in 1910, Francois Xavier Josse was a French painter and sculptor who specialised in life drawings of nude female models.
He studied at Beaux-Arts in Nantes before moving to Paris to further his studies at the Academies of the Grand-Chaumière and the Colarossi Academy in 1930. A retrospective of his work was organised in Paris in 1989. Sulis Fine Art has acquired this fine collection of his work, demonstrating his focus on depicting the female form in his own authentic style.
