After studying under Henry Moore, Chard went on to produce vibrant, eclectic, and characteristically English paintings throughout her life. This collection of her works includes both ecclesiastical and vernacular architecture, still lifes, portraits and landscapes.

Sulis Fine Art is proud to present an expressive collection of works by the artist Pamela Chard (1926-2003). In her naïve vibrant style, the collection features impressionistic landscape views, still life scenes, emotive portraits and architectural views, all painted in a characteristically eclectic English manner.

Chard was a British artist and teacher, married to fellow artist William Chard. The couple met at the well-known Redfern Gallery in Cork Street, London. They went on to study under several important artists, such as Henry Moore (1898-1986), Ceri Richards (1903-1971) and the painter Vivian Pitchforth (1895-1982). They were both active members of 'The Arts Council of Great Britain', and exhibited with the London Group and Drian Gallery.
