Description

A bold and colourful still life in a modernist style with fauvist palette. The still life shows a rustic blue and white jug, holding a bunch of daffodils in front of a yellow wall with a pink wall behind. The clashing colours and gestural brush strokes fill this piece with life and joy. A truly uplifting painting!

On canvas.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and general surface dirt. There are two repairs to the canvas at the top right quadrant which have been fully restored, front and back. There is some wear to the paint around the outer edges of the canvas.
