Sulis Fine Art is proud to present an expressive collection of works by the artist Pamela Chard (1926-2003). In her naïve vibrant style, the collection features impressionistic landscape views, still life scenes, emotive portraits and architectural views, all painted in a characteristically eclectic English manner.
Chard was a British artist and teacher, married to fellow artist William Chard. The couple met at the well-known Redfern Gallery in Cork Street, London. They went on to study under several important artists, such as Henry Moore (1898-1986), Ceri Richards (1903-1971) and the painter Vivian Pitchforth (1895-1982). They were both active members of 'The Arts Council of Great Britain', and exhibited with the London Group and Drian Gallery.
