The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some surface dirt and flakes of paint loss. There are scuffs and marks to the corners of the board. The board is slightly warped. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.

Artist Biography
Pamela Chard (1926-2003) was a British artist and teacher, married to fellow artist William Chard. The couple met at the Redfern Gallery in Cork Street, London. They went on to study under several artists such as Henry Moore (1898-1986), Ceri Richards (1903-1971) and the painter Vivian Pitchforth (1895-1982). They were both active members of 'The Arts Council of Great Britain', and exhibited with the London Group and Drian Gallery.
