An accomplished early-20th century copy after Thomas Faed RSA's (1826-1900) 'When the Children are Asleep' (1885) that hangs in the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. Presented in a distressed gilt-effect slip. Signed to the lower-left edge. Inscribed verso. On board.

Condition

Inspection under UV light reveals some retouching in the upper-left corner and centre of the left edge. There are some scuffs and chips to the slip.
