The collection includes delicate florals, portraits and classical genre scenes, as well as an album of further drawings and watercolours. The colours of this collection are extremely worthy of note, having been expertly stored for the last two centuries. Retaining all of their original brightness and rich vibrancy, the artist was clearly a gentlewoman of good means, possibly from a finishing school, with careful attention to detail and an erudite handling of paint.
