Description

A mezzotint by William Ward ARA (1762-1826) after George Morland's (1763-1804) painting 'Stable Amusement' (c.1800). Number XII of a series. First published 1801. Presented glazed in a wash line mount with gold detailing and a distressed gilt-effect wooden frame. Signed, dated, and inscribed with the title in plate to the lower edge. On wove.

Condition

There is a vertical streak of discolouration to the left half. There are white marks of discolouration across the work and a closed tear extending from the upper-left edge measuring 29.5cm.
