Description
Charming miniature watercolour paintings depicting 'An Angler', a gentleman dressed for hunting and 'The Abbots Kitchen in Glastonbury Abbey' as inscribed with pen and ink. All studies have been monogrammed to the margin and have ornate embossed borders. Laid to backing paper probably originally included in a Victorian scrapbook. A revived interest in miniature painting towards the middle of the 19th Century popularised the genre as a hobby for amateur artists. On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is a small hole to the right study and a minor tear to the right edge.
