A delightful portrait by American artist Seymour Remenick (1923-1999) of his infant daughter, rendered in his characteristic loose, impressionistic style. Signed to the lower left. Titled on a Davis Galleries label on the reverse side of the board. Well presented in an ornate gilt-effect frame. On board.

Artist Biography

Seymour Remenick (1923-1999) was an American artist and teacher born in Detroit, Michigan. He studied at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, the Hans Hofmann School in New York City, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) in Philadelphia. His work has been exhibited at numerous galleries, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Terenchin Gallery, and the Davis Galleries. The Metropolitan Museum of Art holds an example of Remenick's work.
