Description

A serene landscape in oil showing a river, meandering into the twilight on the horizon. The artist has used an attractive pastel palette to create the delicate tones in the sky and distant hills. The painting is unsigned and presented in an early 20th Century wood frame. The painting can be dated c.1890 by the art supplier's stamp at the reverse of the board (George Rowney & Co). On canvas board.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The frame is in fine condition.
