In the story, the devil subjects Anthony – who has retired to the desert to live as a hermit – to numerous temptations, usually represented as beautiful women or demonic creatures. Signed within the plate. Well presented in a vintage black frame with gilt running patterns. On paper.Condition
The condition is good for a picture of this age, with minimal discolouration or foxing. Marks, scuffs, and small losses to the frame.
