A delightful mezzotint engraving depicting Flora Macdonald (1722-1790) who was best known her helping Bonnie Prince Charlie escape from Scotland to the Isle of Skye after the defeat of the Jacobites at the Battle of Culloden in 1746. Title in plate. Dated and signed by engraver in plate. Presented in a veneer frame. On paper.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is creasing to the lower half of the print, running vertically through the paper.
