A fine mezzotint copy of the original painting by Gainsborough. The mezzotint has been inscribed in plate with the publishing details at the upper edge and the artist has inscribed along the lower edge in graphite "Engraved and printed in colour in one printing without retouching." There is a blind stamp at the lower left corner.
The mezzotint has been presented in a fine early 20th Century gilt frame with foliate corners and a card mount.
On wove.The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The upper right corner of the frame has had restoration to the ornamentation.
