French School Original 1846 Oil. Signed indistinctly lower right. Inscribed on the reverse 'Louis Napoleon, Tu Font De Ham 1846'. In an ornate gilt frame. Signed indistinctly, On canvas on stretchers. Yellowing, craquelure and discolouration visible. Inspection under UV light reveals some restoration, including top right area (on the roof), as seen in photo. Losses to moulding on frame which has been painted over in gold.
