Discolouration to the varnish. Undulation to the canvas. Craquelure and abrasions throughout, with notable scuffs to the lower left. Thinning to the canvas including small holes, particularly along the upper margin. Impression marks from the stretchers are visible to the front of the canvas. Inspection under UV light indicates evidence of previous restoration. Historic woodworm damage to the stretchers verso, however this has been treated and the wood is pest free.
