A very delicate fine watercolour study in grisaille, with sanguine and charcoal details, of four profile figures. The artist is an adept at portraying character through expressive lines and facial features. This painting is likely to be a study for a larger work. Condition

In very good condition overall. There are two diagonal creases across the lower right quadrant, however this does not obscure or damage the picture. Some surface dirt commensurate with its age.
