Edna Waverley Guy (1897-1969) - c.1930 Watercolour, Kashmir Landscape, India

£90.00

Description

A fine and delicate watercolour of Kashmir with the Himilayan mountains dominating the background. Guy travelled extensively with her husband and it is thought this was completed during their time in India before he was killed in 1942. Touches of bright colour stud the hazy scene and a small house peeks out of the riverside bushes. Monogrammed to the lower right-hand corner. Well presented in a vintage distressed, gilt-effect frame. On watercolour paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Very minor scuffs to the frame.

Size

27.4 x 22cm (10.8" x 8.7")
Framed Size: 42.3 x 36.6cm (16.7" x 14.4")
