A wonderful mid 19th century watercolour depicting two figures fishing in a peaceful riverside location. Woodland tree provide shelter along the river bank while rolling hills take scale further back. The watercolour has been beautifully presented in a large gilt frame with delicate running patterns. On watercolour paper.
Condition
The condition is very good for a picture of this age. There is some discolouration and foxing to the watercolour. Signs of wear to the gilt frame. Small chips and losses to the running pattern.
