The painting has serious condition issues. There are three punctures to the panel. The largest puncture is full thickness, and is in the background to the left of the angel's gown. There is a small partial thickness indentation to her upper sash, and small indentation just to the right of the snakes head, overlying the plank. The upper right corner of the panel is missing and there is a split upper centre. There are minor areas of paint rubbing that will need retouching. The panel is made of very thin, very early plywood in 3 layers.
