A beautiful impressionist painting by Berlin artist Willy Herrmann (1895-1963) depicting a rural track winding through rolling fields dotted with mature trees in rich autumn foliage. The composition is anchored by a prominent bare tree in the foreground, while a soft, cloud-filled sky creates an atmospheric dusk backdrop. Well presented in a cream and gilt frame. Signed lower right. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
Light dirtying to the surface of the painting and minor wear to the frame. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. The overall condition of the artwork is very good.
