William Eyre Walker (1847-1930) was a painter and illustrator, born in Manchester. He was the father of the artist Bernard Eyre Walker (1887-1972). He was an early exhibitor with the Lake Artists Society and also showed at the FAS, MAFA, RI, RSW, RA, RWS, RCamA, GI, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, RSW and the Walker's Gallery, London. He was an elected a member of the RWS in 1896 and his work is in the collection of Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne and Stafford Art Gallery. His name is often incorrectly listed, like that of his son, as Eyre-Walker.
