A interesting study of Nottingham from the mind 19th century. The scene depicts the Rose Tavern in Bridlesmith Gate. There is a similar study held at Nottingham City Council from 1850, which this appears to have been copied from. Well presented in a cream card mount and black frame. There are two original cuttings from the back of a previous frame fixed to the backing board. Both give some history on the location as well as the artist's name and date. On wove.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and minor foxing. Overall the condition is good.
