Description

A finely detailed watercolour by English artist and architect Edgar Thomas Wood (1860–1935). The scene depicts the bustling Fleet Street in London, with the Church of St Dunstan-in-the-West rising impressively above the other buildings and crowds below. The work is signed to the lower left and is well presented in an ornate gilt frame. A partially legible label is affixed to the frame. On paper.

Condition

Signs of wear consistent with age, including discolouration and light foxing to the paper. The edge of the paper is slightly visible within the frame on the right-hand side. Scuffs, stable cracking, and small losses to the frame. Overall, the artwork is in very good condition for its age.
