A fine 19th Century cherub head study in the style of the old masters of the Venetian School. The artist has skilfully captured the big eyes and cherubic lips of the many frescoes and works from Renaissance Italy. The painting is unsigned and presented in a gilt effect, unglazed frame. Oil on paper laid to board.
Condition
The painting has some discolouration and foxing across the surface. There is some cracking and a small loss to the paint in the top left corner. The frame has slight splitting to the top right and bottom left corners but is in otherwise fine condition.
