This vibrantly coloured oil portrait depicts a seated female in a red dress. The artist Sheila Cripps has painted in a style reminiscent of the early 20th century post-impressionist movement. The painting bears no signature but there is an artist label on the reverse. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
There are two small areas which have been restored, as seen from the reverse. These repairs are only visible from the front on close inspection. Inspection under UV light reveals no further repairs.
