Artist Biography
Painter and teacher who lived on Merseyside for most of her life. At school she showed strong art talent, took a job in window display and worked in several stores before in 1974 she chose to become a full-time artist. Group shows included Northwest One and Weaver Galleries, 1976; RA Summer Exhibitions from 1979; Davey Gallery, Liverpool, 1985, where she worked part-time; and The Gallery, Manchester, 1994. Had a solo show at Neptune Theatre, Liverpool, 1975, later ones including BDP Gallery, Preston, 1994. In 1988 Turner taught part-time at Wirral Metropolitan College. Birkenhead and Wallasey Corporations bought work for there local history collections.
