Description

An early 20th century watercolour landscape depicting the River Tweed river with distant bridge and Abbotsford Manor house, just visible in the background. Abbotsford, near Edinburgh was Sir Walter Scott's baronial mansion during the 1800's. A small figure has been added to the composition, to the lower left corner. Possibly a fisherman, however he is unfinished. The piece is well presented in a gold card mount. Signed and dated.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.
