A fine late 19th Century mezzotint, by Smythe, after Sir Joshua Reynolds, showing the elegant Lady Fleming in classical dress in a beautiful garden. Smythe has signed in graphite to the lower right corner and there is a publisher's blind stamp at the lower left. The mezzotint has been presented in a fine 20th Century gilt frame with swept rail and corners with foliate detailing and beaded strap work. On wove.

Heavy, even discolouration. Some debris trapped behind the glazing. The original plate lines are intact.Light foxing to the outer margins of the wove. The frame is in fine condition.
