Description

A beautiful engraving of a rural scene in County Ireland. This engraving has been hand coloured and the colours remain vibrant and clear. There is an inscription at the bottom, stating the title and the address and date of the printer. An uncoloured version of this print is currently housed at the Royal Academy. The engraver was F Chesham and the printer, G Kearsly. Inscribed and dated. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is a press crease across the lower centre of the plate and several small creases to the lower left corner. Some mount burn around the plate lines.
