A charming early 19th century stipple engraving depicting a shepherd sat under a tree with his children and working dog. The boy can be seen drinking from a metal tankard, while the dog is begging for a piece of the young girl's fruit. Sheep and farm buildings can be seen in the background. Presented in a white mount and glazed Hogarth frame. On laid.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There have been gilt moulding losses to the frame on all sides.
