In very good condition overall, with minor surface marks. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. Some marks and scuffs to the slip and frame.

Self-taught artist born in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Pamela Derry worked almost exclusively in oils and most of her work was done with a palette knife. Derry was a member of NS and showed at ROI, SWA, RBA, NEAC, Century Galleries, Henley-on-Thames and extensively in the south of England and at the Paris Salon. The Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum, Bournemouth, hold an example of her work. In 2000 she participated in an exhibition held in Manhattan, New York. The same year saw the publication of a set of eight new greetings cards and a limited edition print ‘A New Dawn’ to celebrate the Millennium. Since her death her family has published further limited edition prints and a retrospective exhibition was held to celebrate her lifetime of painting at Wold Galleries in the Cotswolds in May 2003. She died in July 2002 and not as stated by some authorities in 2003.
