Description
A watercolour of a picturesque harbour scene. A coach and horses can be seen in the water, delivering or collecting passengers from the ship. The figures in the foreground are painted with a charming naivete. A warm light bathes the coastline, including the ruined castle on the distant cliffs. Presented glazed in a white mount and a gilt-effect frame with ornate foliate and strapwork moulding at the corners. Unsigned.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some mild foxing and discolouration. There is some slight foxing to the mount and a small loss to the moulding in the upper-left corner. Overall well-presented and in good condition.
