This charming Cornish harbour scene by the artist William Lyons Wilson (1892-1981) depicts moored boats with colourful sails resting on the water, whilst seagulls circle gracefully above. Rendered in expressive watercolour washes, the painting perfectly captures the atmosphere of the seascape. Beautifully presented, floated in a simple wooden frame. On paper.
Condition
Some discolouration and foxing to the paper, along with wear to the edges and small pin holes. Small loss to the lower left. Overall the artwork remains in good condition for its age.
