Description

A finely detailed etching with aquatint by Morton Mathews (1866-1953) depicting a dark workshop interior, where a wheelwright is working. This print was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1916, number 250. Titled and signed in graphite below the plate line, and inscribed "To my friend Charles E. Benham." Well presented in a wooden frame with a gold inner edge. On paper.

Condition

The condition is good for a picture of this age. Slight discolouration to the paper. Faint scratches to the glass in the lower left corner. Scuffs and small losses to the frame.
