Description

A charming genre scene depicting figures drinking in a 17th century tavern interior. The jolly drinkers raise glasses and play music in their traditional Flemish dress. Signed 'Membling' to the lower right, possibly after the Flemish painter Hans Memblin, though the painting is not of the style of the artist. Presented in a gilt frame with a fluted cove. On board.
