Description
An engaging and surprisingly gestural and expressionistic early 20th Century landscape showing a farm building nestled on the edge of wood, with green meadow land in front. Livestock graze in the grass under a blue sky. The artist has captured the haziness of a Summer afternoon. The artist has signed to the lower right and the painting has been presented in a fine early 20th Century frame wit swept acanthus leaf corners, fluted cove and lamb's tongue strap work. On canvas.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Very slight slack to the canvas. The frame has a contemporary gilt finish.
