Collection Information
Often referred to as “St. Petersburg’s Van Gogh,” Borsch is an old-school avant-garde master focusing on the city he has lived in since the early 1980s.
As an artist, Borsch is silent and reclusive. He believes that contact with nature is essential to his art, which is why he can be seen with his portable easel, leaving the studio to get in touch with the outdoors. His paintings are the result of a contemplation and struggle with colors, thick brush-strokes, and structural lines used in order to achieve an artistic equivalent to his inspiration.
