A delightful early 20th century oil by the artist Max Degebrodt (1885-1976), depicting a verdant forest in spring. Rendered in an impasto effect with an earthy palette of greens, browns, and muted oranges to capture the natural textures of tree bark, foliage and filtered sunlight dancing through the canopy.
