A finely detailed original late 19th Century gilt picture frame with ornate mouldings. This includes an inner gilt slip, egg and dart ornamentation, fluted cove, foliate leaf barrel moulding and lambs tongue beading. Window opening measures 49.2cm x 75.1cm. Rebate measures 50.8cm x 76.7cm.
Condition
There are surface marks and scuffing commensurate with the age of the frame. Some chips to the corners and areas of loss to the upper part of the right edge.
