Description
A charming late 19th century oil portrait of a Scottish gentleman walking with his two gun dogs in a landscape. The young man looks smartly dressed for a day on the moors, posed with a brace of shot grouse over one shoulder. Unsigned. On canvas on stretches.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some craquelure to the surface. Inspection under UV light reveals signs of restoration. A single patch repair has been made to the reverse of the canvas, carefully concealed by overpainting to the front.
