Artist Biography
John Hamilton Glass was a Scottish artist proficient in both oils and watercolours, although chiefly painting in the latter. He painted landscapes, coastal and river scenes. Little is known of his personal life, although he lived in Musselburgh near Edinburgh in Scotland and often worked along the east coast, and sometimes Iona. He exhibited works in the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Hibernian Academy.
