Artist Biography
Jean Donnay (1897-1992) was a Belgian painter, draftsman, and above all, engraver. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Liège, and would later become a professor there. He was also a co-founder of Le Trait in 1935, a circle that grouped independent etcher-engravers.
