James McLernon (1935-2012) - Contemporary Oil, In the Crowd II

Item Sold

An intriguing oil painting by the artist James McLernon, depicting a crowd of people, where only the faces are visible. The artist's composition and structure has allowed for a great dynamic and expressive scene, highlighted by the thick brushwork and intense colour palette. Monogrammed to the lower right-hand corner. Label with additional details to the reverse. Signed with monogram. On board.

Overall in good condition, with very slight creasing to the corners and upper margin. Inspection under UV light shows no signs of restoration.
