A very fine late 18th century watercolour of the Derbyshire countryside. Finely presented in a washline mount and gilt effect frame. Inscribed on the reverse of the frame "Verso - view of Grange from an emergence to the southward with the Derwent River and Lake, and Keswick and Skiddaw in the distance." Signed and dated. On watercolour paper.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. and foxing. With signs of mount burn beneath the mount.
