An elderly woman holds the young lady, with a look of concern on her face while a doctor holds her wrist, checking her pulse, looking very confused. The scene has a charming narrative and vibrant colours. The painting has been signed at the lower left corner and presented in a fine early 20th Century frame with scrolling acanthus leaf molding and gilt slip. The canvas has been fully re-lined.
