A delightful watercolour study with pen and ink detail. Here the artist has captured Pitstone Hill on a summer's day. Well presented in a gilt effect frame. Handwritten label to the reverse from the Blackheath Art Society 1957. Also with James Bourlet labels. Signed and dated. On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and minor foxing Scuffs to the frame.

Artist Biography
Gwendolen R. Jackson (b.1919) was a painter and batik artist. Jackson trained at Westminster School of Art between 1936 and 1939. She taught at Rolle College, Exmouth, and was a member of the Batik Guild, as well as the Devon Guild of Craftsmen. Jackson exhibited at numerous venues in Devon and beyond the UK.
