Description

A rustic oil landscape showing a dirt path running by a rural pond. A woman sits, resting, on the grass. A thatched cottage or barn can be seen in the distance. The artist has signed to the lower left corner. On canvas.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. Inspection under UV light reveals some restoration. There are several canvas repairs at the reverse which have been fully restored a the front. The stretcher lines are visible and there is a line of wear from previous framing around the edge.
