She paints primarily en plein air, capturing everyday scenes such as musicians in rehearsal, bustling street life, shipyards, and maritime settings with bold brushwork and a keen sense of light and atmosphere. Elected an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists in 2014 and a Full Member in 2015, Roberts has received multiple awards, including the Daler Rowney Award, the Winsor & Newton Prize, and the RSMA Small Picture Prize. Her work is widely exhibited in Yorkshire and London.
