Description
A charming view of the grand Southwell minster, in oil, from the late 19th Century. A farmer lets cattle into the meadow in the foreground, under a blue sky. The artist has signed to the lower left corner and the painting has been presented in a 20th Century gilt frame with egg and dart molding and a gilt slip. There is a vintage booklet of notes and photographs of the cathedral and a postcard of the same view of the minster attached at the reverse. On re-lined canvas.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. The canvas has been fully re-lined. The frame has some tarnishing.
